Dr. Raul Camposano, Chief Technology Officer of Synopsys, Inc. to Deliver Keynote Address at VirtualDACafe 2003 Online Expo

CAMPBELL, Calif. – January 27, 2003 – VirtualDACafe 2003, an exclusive online EDA (electronic design automation) trade show, is pleased to announced the participation of Raul Camposano, chief technology officer and senior vice president at Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq:SNPS), who will deliver a keynote address, “EDA & Manufacturing: The New Chapter in the Text Book,” viewable by all registered show attendees at the February 11–13, 2003 virtual event.

Dr. Camposano joined Synopsys in 1994 and currently serves as chief technology officer and senior vice president. His responsibilities include the Advanced Technology Group, IT and software engineering. He previously served as general manager of all Synopsys design tools business units and was also vice president of engineering. Elected an IEEE Fellow in 1999, he serves on technical program committees and editorial boards worldwide and has published more than 70 articles and three books on electronic design automation (EDA). Dr. Camposano holds a B.S. and an M.S. in E.E. from the University of Chile, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany.
